This apartment is located on the wonderfully quiet Vrolikstraat, located in the East district, roughly wedged between the Amstel, Oosterpark, Park Frankendael and the area around Amstel station. It is very special to find such a friendly and easily accessible place, so close to the Center. Leafy streets with 'normal' houses and apartments ensure that you hardly notice that you actually live next to a traffic artery and junction.

If you don't feel like or have the time to cook yourself, you can eat real Italian at Impero Romano, Pepe Nero, Le Due Sicilie or Pazzi-Oost (Tips from Italians!), Belgian/French at Lille or La Vallade and for a steak or beer you go to Loetje and the Ysbreeker. A colorful collection of other cuisines and cozy cafes can be found within walking distance (especially on Beukenplein). The VondelGym and Swimgym are right in front of the door to get rid of the calories.

You can do your shopping at various Albert Heijns within 200 meters, Turkish fresh markets or a variety of caterers, fine bakeries and butchers.

The accessibility can be called phenomenal; If you come from the Ring (about 5-10 minutes), you can easily drive via the Wibautstraat onto the Vrolikstraat, after which you can park your car very affordable in front of the door (Parking Student Hotel). Metro station 'Wibautstraat' is barely 100 meters away and provides a direct connection to both Amstel and Central Station, not to mention the rest of the city via the metro network. There are several bus and tram lines in the area.
