Once you pass the gangway, you become more and more entranced by the ubiquitous craftsmanship of the ship from the original 1895, which has a wonderful balance between functionality and beauty. The perfectly lacquered and attractive wooden interior shines towards you - with a fireplace as the nugget of the living space. The aggregate on board makes it ideal for long journeys, for example inland to the South of France with wonderful anchorages en route. In 2021, Vrouwe Jacoba visited the shipyard for major maintenance and went back into the water pico bello.

After entering the spacious, bright wheelhouse with a nice U-corner sofa, you descend towards the kitchen and living room. The L-shaped kitchen with ample storage space is fully equipped, including a dishwasher and induction. Dining area with corner sofa and dining table.
The attractive living room is relatively high and very light due to the many windows on both sides across the width. There is a functioning fireplace which offers the possibility to enjoy a cozy fire during colder days. There is also a built-in desk that can serve as a workplace. From the living room there is the possibility to reach the outside terrace of the ship via a staircase. A nice place in the sun with a panoramic view. In the bow is the bathroom with a bath, sink and toilet. Behind it is the master bedroom with a built-in bed and fitted wardrobes. Behind the bedroom is a large storage room where the 220 Volt generator is located.
The second bedroom with a double bed and adjacent private toilet and sink is located on the other side under the wheelhouse. This provides privacy to any guests.

At the front of the yard (420m2) is a private parking space suitable for 2 vehicles covered with a new shell layer. In the lovely overgrown garden is a storage shed with ample space for bicycles and tools. The other independent wooden storage space is 24m2. LOCATION
The houseboat and the accompanying plot are located on the quiet Zwarte pad 14 in Amsterdam Nieuw West, in the Ringvaart about 500 meters from the Molen van Sloten, and adjacent to Badhoevedorp. Because of the dense vegetation around the site you really have your own place. From the berth you are only a few kilometers away from the Nieuwe Meer and you can also sail on to the Westeinderplassen, where you can anchor wonderfully. Can lie, as well as on the Braassem. Or you sail through Amsterdam to the sea or the IJsselmeer.
The city center of Amsterdam can be reached within 20 minutes by car and within 30 minutes by public transport (line 1). You will reach Schiphol in no time. The renovated Akermolen is located on the Zwarte pad, which currently houses a tea house. This is also the start and end point of a new 7-kilometer running/walking route.
