We, as Lens Real Estate, are grateful for our privileged situation here in Amsterdam, and have turned this gratitude into a commitment to support certain charities.

To make this very concrete, we intend to donate a significant part of our fee for our services to you to three possible charities, and would like to invite you to choose one that feels right to you. We will then make the donation.

The Charities we support wholeheartedly.

  • Help the people

Medical needs - Polska Misja Medyczna

They are a Polish humanitarian organization, providing medical assistance in countries most in need in the world. They provide medical care to pregnant women and young children. The Polish doctors conduct medical training in Asia and Africa, as well as helping refugees in the camps in the middle East.

Ukraine - At the moment, an obvious need is medical assistance in the Ukraine, they transport medical supplies to hospitals throughout the country and save the lives of war victims and help those where evacuation is not possible. (See up to date information about what they have done to help on their website)

Our motivation - A charity from where I was born and raised, they help on a global scale and act fast and consistently from what I have seen. They are in direct contact with hospitals in Ukraine and provide most urgent medical supplies - Izabela Rytwinska

  • Shelter the Dogs

    Pet Shelter - ACE

They rescue stray dogs and cats in Spain. There is a serious issue with strays, there are even killing stations funded my the government in Spain for an ¨easy fix¨ to the issue. The ACE charity stands against this, saves the dogs from the killing stations and rehomes them all over the world (quite a lot are rehomed in NL). Before they get placed in a new loving home, they have spend some time in a kennel, where they are provided with medical care, shelter, food and hugs.

Our motivation - I grew up very near to this charity, my family and I have adopted from ACE and have also fostered dogs there too, we found stray dogs that needed help and even when they were at full capacity, they would find a way to help. I believe that all money is put to good use in this charity, based on what I have seen in person - Ellie de Voss

  • Never forget the past

    Stolpersteine

‘Stumbling stones’ are placed in front of the last known voluntary living place of victims of the nazi-regime. The artist Gunter Demnig was inspired by the Talmudic quote: “A person is only forgotten when his/her name is forgotten.” All over Europe you might ‘stumble’ over the little bronze square tiles with the victim’s name, dates and place of death, usually a concentration camp. Currently thousands have been placed, but knowing the grim numbers, many more need to be placed.

Our motivation - Our office is located in a part of Amsterdam, often called the Old Jewish Quarter, with both a glorious and a troubled past. During the 1940's many people with a Jewish background were deported to concentration camps from here. You will ‘stumble’ over many Stolpersteine here. We deeply care for the remembrance of that painful past. Without knowledge of the past we are bound to make the same horrible mistakes again. - Liselotte Lens

  • Giving back Hope & Dignity

    Dr. Lens Foundation

‘Every homeless person needs a kind word. It gives hope and opens up the path to dignity.’ - Theo Lens (Father of Liselotte)

Worldwide millions of people have to live without a roof over their heads. Excluded, not safe, not clean, not at peace…

The Dr. Lens Foundation, named after the founder’s father, who spent his whole life helping the homeless, aims to give them back their dignity by starting with a kind word, proper attention, and supporting many initiatives that stimulate social inclusion, organizing campaigns to create more awareness and fairness. Giving them back their voice and dignity.

Our motivation - This foundation was established by my father and named after my grandfather, who cared so much about homeless and vulnerable people. We wholeheartedly support this good cause.
